This combination of clinical practice and research activities provides a unique setting which is particularly beneficial to patients with complex contact lens problems, including keratoconus. The research conducted, often in collaboration with other health care disciplines, has resulted in over 60 publications and 22 patents, including one for the design of a soft contact lens which served as the model for all contemporary contact lens designs.<br><br>Specialized diagnostic techniques, including video analysis of the tear film, utilized for dry eye tests, aid in the diagnosis and resolution of a patient's visual and contact lens problems. A large inventory, including every major contact lens available, allows for an efficient and sustainable patient fitting process.<br><br>Contact Lens Lab<br>An in-office contact lens laboratory and a contact lens technician allow contact lenses to be cleaned, reconditioned and modified on site. This facility provides the capability of customizing contact lenses, which is particularly beneficial in complicated cases, including keratoconus.<br><br>The office of Korb and Associates is the optometric practice of Doctors Donald Korb, Victor Finnemore and Joan Exford. Established in 1930 by Dr. Frederick Farnum, this practice is one of the oldest continuing practices in the country and is dedicated to providing the highest standard of professional care. At the forefront in the field of contact lenses since their introduction in 1946, the practice enjoys a national and international reputation which continues to attract patients from around the world.
